I wanted to create this site to try and take away some of the fear associated with having to undergo a mastectomy as a result of a breast cancer diagnosis. I waited until I was through with all my surgeries and treatments before putting together the information I wanted to share because I felt it was important to give the perspective of someone who has gotten through it all, and considers herself a SURVIVOR.
In the event you have questions, clarifications or would like further insight beyond what I have already shared, I welcome the opportunity to do so. Please understand that I am not a medical professional, nor do I have any medical training. I cannot make suggestions or recommendations about what is medically appropriate for you or your situation. However I can listen, validate and guide you when appropriate to those resources where you may find informed answers.

Gratitude
A cancer diagnosis can feel very alienating; even more so when you do not live in physical proximity to family or close friends. I owe an immeasurable amount of gratitude for the people who contributed directly or indirectly to my care and my emotional well-being.
Truly, the most heartfelt thanks to you all.
